Ragnarok happened, and the Earth (Midgard) and Asgard and the rest of the 9 realms are no longer attached to Yggdrasil. Olympus has been shaken as have all the Pantheons. The most powerful beings in existence have been destroyed. What happened after the event of Ragnarok is still being written.

Ragnarok is passed, and most of the old gods are dead. Those who are left are scattered, hiding themselves and their natures, and occasionally finding each other. I wish I knew Norse mythology as well as the author -- my knowledge of the Ring Cycle is mostly based on the Bugs Bunny short "What's Opera Doc?" and the Marvel Comics Thor series. These gods seem to be equally at home with magic and technology, able to use both. They also occasionally put their hands in human affairs (such as World War II.)This story is clearly one of many to come. It does little more than to introduce the characters, but I will follow this author. What would the gods want with our world in its present condition?

Good fantasy with a different take.
The post-Ragnarok setting is innovative.
The friendly crossover between Asgardians and Olympian is nice.
It was good! The author has a good imagination. I look forward to the next installment! I see a lot of different directions to go.
